Topical Application

Submitted by Maria, Submitted 3/20/2007

If you take the iodine orally it goes directly to the thyroids as they have receptors designed specifically to capture iodine. If you put it on your skin it is slowly absorbed into the body and this is a good way to test and see how quickly you are using it. Good thing research is fun as I did what you said, but added one step and wanted your opinion. I put a few drops of yours on the inside of my left arm and the same amount of iodine tincture I got at the drug store (iodine tincture USP 100%-2% iodine. Yours was gone within the hour, the iodine tincture was still there after about three hours. What does that indicate? Today I took two drops of yours.

Thanks for helping me understand it all.

Maria
