My Child

Submitted by Karen H, Submitted 2/18/2007

Hi Phil,

The more I read about how deficient we are, and the more I read about all the bad halides "they" are putting into our water (fluoride and chlorine) and bread (bromines) I am absolutely amazed as how I've been Led so far.

We've been filtering our water with a reverse/osmosis filter for over 8 years now, and my daughter and I were diagnosed "gluten-intolerant" 4 years ago. So, basically, we've reduced our negative halide intake TREMENDOUSLY.

I now believe that I am not so much gluten-intolerant as I simply didn't have enough iodine in my system for me to handle the tough grains (wheat, rye, barley, and oats are what I've had to avoid).

Anyway, I got impatient AGAIN and "upped" my iodine faster than I "knew" I should. The heart flip-flops I got (scary) weren't as bad as I've had in the past, (thyroid meds).

However, I believe I got an explanation: I was Led to a study that showed how bromine can replace iodine where it's needed in the heart. So, once again, I was reminded that "more isn't always better"! It will take time, and increasing the iodine SLOWLY, so that the iodine can SLOWLY work the bromine OUT of my heart. I will stick with a slow and steady increase of iodine, only "upping" the dose by one drop twice daily each WEEK instead of each DAY. I will go off the iodine on Saturdays AND Sundays. (I do get impatient - a curse! lol)

I also wanted you to know something else. I keep getting the confirmation, over and over again, that I got "the right stuff" with your product! People keep reporting about the other forms, and how "you really need to be taking 50mg a day" bla bla bla, but as soon as they do, another person pops up with a report on WHY it's so important to go slow.

Perhaps those things are meant for people like me, and other posts are meant for other people.

(I go to c u r e z o n e ' s iodine support site) and am reading a lot.

Still, with all the "fear" and "you need to take this" or "you need to take that"...it's hard sometimes for me to contain myself. I keep remembering what Cayce said: you only need four things. It was a "wow" moment for me, too. And it makes sense.

MY CHILD

My daughter is ten. And I KNOW she needs iodine. (Who doesn't?) Having gallbladder trouble at age 6, she (and I) were both found positive for gluten-intolerance.

I know what I should do; and I can learn from my own mistakes. I am, however, hoping for a little more direction concerning my daughter. I don't think it would take long for her to get on a "maintenance" schedule, but I don't want to "cut her short", either.

I can tell you what I did do. I gave her 1 drop twice daily for a week. I then reported that she must be "detoxing" as she "didn't feel sick at all" but was expelling crap through coughing, blowing her nose, lots of eyegunk, AND through her ears, too!

I then got warned (at curezone) about her being a "kid" and that I shouldn't give her iodine, but I know that's wrong. MY troubles all started at puberty and she's now approaching that age. It's funny how people will say how mad they are they didn't know about iodine, and then not want to give it to their kids... I'm like, what? huh?

I guess I'm taking too long here - Let me ask THIS way:

If YOU had a 10 year old daughter, 85 pounds, with health issues, who is entering puberty, what protocol would you follow for HER with the detoxified iodine?

Thank you Phil!

Karen
